Remember - A Poppy Kit and a Freebie

Happy Tuesday all, can you believe that January is almost over, boy has the time flown this month. I've been so lucky, I've gotten to work with several great kits including Remember – A Poppy Kit with is beautiful and packed with great elements. Just look at the linked preview below.

When I first saw the kit in the store the reds really caught my eye, and boy was I excited when I opened it and found all kinds of great flowers. My first layout is of my grandmother taken many years ago. I had lots of fun creating that cluster.

My second layout is of my sister when she was a baby. We tease her she didn't have hair until she was six, which isn't true, it was just so light that mom had to put VO5 in it to make it show up on pictures (I really dating myself). In this one mom made her have one curl on top. I love the mix of colors in this kit the reds are great, but accented with blue, black and tan they really pop.

Now ya'll are really lucky because Ms. Ashley told me I could make a freebie for you and so I took the cluster from the first layout and used that. She also put the kit on sale for 50% off for one week. What a STEAL!!!! The preview is linked to the download, so simply click on it. As always feel free to leave a comment.
And once you've downloaded the freebie, don't forget to head over to the store and pickup Remember – A Poppy Kit while it is on sale!!!!

HallowScream by Digi-designs by Nicole

I have been waaay behind in getting our Halloween photos scrapped so over the weekend I picked up the adorable kit, HallowScream by Digi-designs by Nicole to finish them off. The kit is filled with the most adorable elements, I'm not a spider person but that has got to be one of the cutest spiders I've ever seen! Besides the kit there are also a set of brag book pages & a set of quick pages if you need to get things done fast to finish up your 2011 layouts, click on the preview to see them all!

Birds Bees and Butterflies by Queen Bee Scraps

I got to work with Queen Bee Scraps' Birds Bees and Butterflies kit while being a part of the STS forum CT. It's a beautiful and large kit with 20 papers and 40 elements. It's perfect for scrapping those great spring and outdoor pictures. Here's a look at the preview.

For my layouts, I decided to create a page from my trip to London's regents park and a dedication page for my parakeets.

Thank you for reading. :)

Ladies and Gentlemen... Start your Engines!!

Amy and Dana, owners/designers of AmyDane Designs NEVER fail to impress me with their awesome digiscrap kits!!  I was super excited to see this brand new CAR kit hit their store this month!

In Start Your Engines you will find elements and papers for both the toddler playing with cars and trucks on the ground and for the teen who is being handed the keys for the very first time!  It is huge with 28 papers and cardstocks, an alpha, and over 100 elements! It really is all about engines and wheels! Click on the preview and just take a look at the list of elements below to see what a great variety there is. PLUS there is also a Memory Game Printable sheet!  It is 8 ½ x 11 and can be printed and even laminated if you want and then you have your very own cars and trucks Matching Game

I have a new driver in my house... but I have NO PHOTOS of him behind the wheel yet!  So I'm going to share just 2 pages I've created so far with this kit... there will be more too!! I took these photos while at the Disneyland Studios Park in Paris France this past September!

Pretty sweet, don't you think!!  I'm so used to using flowers on my pages... that I often have a hard time when kits don't include them.  But I found that the huge variety of gears, cogs, flairs, and signs made an awesome substitute!!  I layered them up just like I usually will do with flowers!! Give it a try and see how easy it can be!

For fun, I made an original ALPHA to co-ordinate with the kit!  I did not use any actual elements from the kit itself while creating it....  but it will look fabulous with it!

Mad Birds by Adriana's Cafe

Hello everyone!  I hope everyone had a nice weekend.

I would like to bring you something fun and ... quite addicting to scrap with, lol.  Most of us are familiar with the cute and annoying but fun game Angry Birds.  My husband and my parents-in-law are big fans.  So when I was assigned to work with Adriana's Cafe products, I couldn't help myself to grab this cute kit - Mad Birds.  I am pretty sure there is someone in your family, at one time or another, has played or addicting to this game.  I am not quite sure because of its sounds/music, or the game itself, but my family is full of laughter because of it.  So, take a look at Mad Birds' preview and grab it in Adriana's store here.

Here are my 2 layouts using this fun Mad Birds kit.

And I'm not an addict to this game, but I just love the stuffed birds, LOL.

Also, I have a little freebie for you.... just in case you have some related photos needed to be scrapped.  Download freebie here.

Have a great Monday!!!

Magic, Mystery, and Mayhem!!

I had a ball this weekend playing with a kit I FINALLY picked up!  I've been eyeing this baby up for quite a while... and it didn't disappoint!  It was fun to use and I got some great pages with it!!

Super Chef by Scraps N Pieces

Michele (MDK Scraps) here - I have a great kit by Scraps N Pieces to show you, but first let me tell you about the fun they (Lori and Heidi of Scraps N Pieces) are having this week! They are the featured designer so all week long they have a scavenger hunt you can complete and also a layout challenge. The challenge has a little bonus if you complete a layout around the theme of "Your Song". Visit the forum section Here for more info.

They are also hosting a chat on Tuesday afternoon, and to quote "It's kind of a chat/20 questions/use it all/speedscrap/get some awesome prizes all rolled into one!" Sounds like lots of fun so join them in the chat room.

Finally, the kit I am featuring - Super Chef - will be on sale for 50% off this week. All of the other Scraps N Pieces products are also 40% off all week long.

A great reason to participate in all the fun will get one entry for each thing you participate in to go in a drawing for a $25 shopping spree to their store! There will be at least one lucky winner and maybe more if there is lots of participation. SNP has so many great kits, I would love to win.
Alright, now the kit. My second favorite hobby is cooking so this kit is a must have in my mind. I love the colors of Super Chef. There is a huge variety of elements and a really cool set of food labels. I have several cooking kits but I love that this one has tons of non baking stuff like meats and veggies. (Don't worry, there's plenty of baking stuff in it too!) My goal is to eventually get all of my recipes scrapped, this kit would really help if you want to do that too.

Here's a couple layouts that I have created. The first one is for this month's template challenge. The second one is a couple recipe cards that I have created.

And finally a little freebie for you. Click the image or here to download. You can get the full kit for 50% off or any other Scraps N Pieces kit for 40% off so click here to go shopping!
